How does it work?
MyProtection.AI monitors your incoming communications on three levels: emails, text messages, and calls. Here's how we handle each type of potential scam:


- Emails
Emails are all marked as low, medium, or high risk by our software. Depending on your email provider, there may be labels next to your emails color coordinated to indicate their risk level. With all providers, high risk emails (over 70% chance of scam) gets moved from your main inbox to your High Risk MyProtection folder.


- Texts
MyProtection.AI prioritizes your privacy by only screening messages from numbers NOT in your contact list. Suspected scam messages are automatically moved to your junk folder. You can see your junk folder by clicking Messages → Filters (top left) → Junk. The software does err on the side of caution, so if you are expecting a message, such as a verification link and do not see it, check your Junk Folder.


- Calls
MyProtection.AI provides real-time Caller ID and live call screening to identify and stop scams before they reach you. Unknown numbers are quietly diverted to a smart screener that evaluates the caller. After evaluation, the caller will be blocked, sent to voicemail, or let through; your contacts ring as normal. Every screening is recorded so you can review the audio in the app anytime.


MyProtection.AI ensures your safety while respecting your privacy, no human is able to read your messages and your raw messages do NOT leave your device.


Who can use it?
MyProtection.AI is designed for users aged 13 years+. However, our primary focus is on supporting those 50 years and older. Our features and business are thoughtfully designed to address the unique challenges this age group faces in staying protected against scams and fraudulent communications.

What devices are covered?
At this time, we fully support Apple iPhone and iOS users. MyProtection.AI fits seamlessly with Gmail and Outlook email providers to create a simplified enrollment process. Legacy email providers, such as iCloud, Yahoo, and AOL, use aging technology that requires a few extra steps to get fully protected by MyProtection.AI. The protection is the same, but users with iCloud, Yahoo, and AOL should be advised that the setup process takes a few more steps. But don’t worry, we have user guides to ensure you are able to successfully enroll these providers as well.


How much does MyProtection.AI cost?
We offer flexible pricing. For the best deal, sign up on our website and check out our Pricing Plans. The price listing on the Apple App Store will be higher than going through the website.


Do I need to create an account?
Yes, you will need to create an account to use MyProtection.AI. This allows us to tailor the service to your needs and provide customized protection for your communications. Setting up an account is quick and easy.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
- If you subscribed through our website, use the Go to Billing button in Settings.
- If you subscribed through the iPhone App Store, cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings. From your iPhone, click Settings → Your Apple Account → Subscriptions → MyProtection.AI → cancel


What payment method does MyProtection.AI accept?
If signing up on the website, we use Stripe, a common payment processor. If you sign up on the Apple App Store, your payment will be processed through Apple. Regardless of the payment option, your card information is not accessible to our team.


How do I reset my password?
Our software is passwordless! You can login using your phone number. A code will be sent to you to verify your identity.


How can I contact customer support?
Send us an email at support@myprotection.ai and we will address your issue as soon as possible. We know protection is important- and typically our responses are within 24 hours M-F.


Where do I find a tutorial or user guide?
After logging in, you will see a tab on the left side of your screen called Setup Guide. This is where you can find all our tutorial videos and written guides. For more advanced setups, check out the Additional Protetion tab!

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds work for subscriptions to MyProtection.AI LLC’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) products offered at MyProtection.AI. We currently serve members located in the United States only. If you purchased through a third-party marketplace (e.g., Apple or Google), that marketplace’s rules apply. Nothing here is legal advice; we follow applicable U.S. federal and state laws.


Which plans does MyProtection.AI offer and how do refunds generally work?
- Monthly plans (Individual, Duo, Family): cancel anytime; no refunds for partial months. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Annual plans (Individual, Duo, Family): limited pro-rated refund window within the first 30 days of purchase or renewal; no refunds after day 30.


How do you calculate pro-rated refunds for annual plans?
If you cancel within 30 days of an annual purchase or renewal, you may receive a pro-rated refund for unused full months. We do not credit partial months.


How do free trials and introductory pricing affect refunds?
- Free trials: charges begin when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. Continuing past the trial start date counts as the first billing period under the rules above.
- Intro/launch pricing: any refund is based on the amount you actually paid, not the list price. Promotional credits and non-refundable taxes are not returned.


What happens with upgrades and downgrades?
- Upgrades mid-cycle: we charge the difference pro-rata immediately for the remainder of the term.
- Downgrades: take effect on the next renewal date; no retroactive refunds for the current term.


How do renewals work?
- All plans auto-renew for the same term unless canceled. Your renewal date and price appear at checkout, in your account, and on each invoice.


What if there’s a billing error or duplicate charge?
- If we make a mistake, we’ll issue a full refund of the amount once verified.
- Billing errors must be reported within 60 days of the charge to be eligible for a correction.


What if there is downtime or a service issue?
- For verified service availability issues that qualify under our SLA, we provide service credits applied to future invoices.
- Service credits are not cash and are non-transferable unless required by law.


How do chargebacks and suspected fraud affect my account?
- Filing a chargeback or payment dispute immediately suspends the account and is treated as cancellation. To restore access, the dispute must be resolved and any outstanding balances settled.
- If fraud occurs, we will work with you directly to understand the situation and work towards a resolution.


I purchased through an app store/marketplace. How do I get a refund?
- Refunds for marketplace purchases (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play, Microsoft, etc.) must be requested directly through that marketplace under their policies. We are unable process those refunds as you paid through those vendors.


What happens to my data after I cancel?
- After cancellation, your account becomes read-only for 30 days to allow export.
- We permanently delete data after 60 days from cancellation, unless the law requires us to retain it. Backups may persist for up to 90 additional days as part of our standard backup rotation.


Which laws govern this policy?
- We are based in the United States and this policy is governed by applicable U.S. federal and state laws. We comply with state automatic-renewal and cancellation disclosure requirements where applicable (e.g., California Auto-Renewal Law).
- Because we currently serve U.S. members only, non-U.S. consumer cooling-off rules (e.g., EU/UK) do not apply to our services.


How do you prevent abuse of the refund policy?
- To protect against misuse, we may decline refund requests that appear abusive (e.g., repeated sign-up/refund cycles).
- Limit one discretionary refund per customer lifetime for the same product.


How and when do you issue refunds?
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.
- Once approved, refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, but your bank or card issuer may take longer to post them.


Are taxes, currency conversion, or bank fees refundable?
- Typically, taxes and third-party bank/payment fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
- Exchange-rate differences and foreign transaction fees are the customer’s responsibility.


How do I request a refund?
- Cancel your subscription in Settings → Billing (to stop future charges).
- Email support@myprotection.ai from your account email with your order ID/invoice number and a brief reason for the request.
- We’ll review and respond within 2 business days.

How do I delete my account and data?
After logging in, you will see a tab to your left called Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the delete button. This will remove your data from our system. If you subscribed through Apple, you will still need to cancel your subscription with Apple by going to Settings → Your Apple Account → Subscriptions → MyProtection.AI → cancel
